CPR Tomorrow!!

Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that we have CPR tomorrow! Please meet in the Mini Gym  @ 1:45pm.

If you haven't already paid, you need to bring your cheque payable to "Vancouver Fire Fighters Community CPR".

Check out this video of some life guards in Australia performing CPR and using an Automated External Defibrilator. Some of the craziest footage I have seen. The guy was actually dead, but they brought him back to life!!! You will learn how to do this too!

Penn State Trouble

Hi Everyone,

Last day in class we briefly talked about what was happening at Penn State and the coaching staff of the football team. Both the assistant Coach, Gerry Sandusky and Head Coach, Joe Paterno have been fired. Sandusky was fired after 40 counts of sexual abuse were filed. Paterno was fired later, for not having done enough. What are your thoughts on this? Should Paterno have kept his job because he didn't committ the crimes? Or should he have been fired because he knew about what was going on? Feel free to comment below....

There are many articles that you can read online. Here is a video clip of the mother of Victim 1:

Remembrance Day

Hi Everyone,

Last day we planned on meeting in the gym, but I forgot that we are attending the Remembrance Day ceremony. Please meet in the classroom to travel as a class to the assembly. Remember, this is a formal ceremony (no cell phones, save your applause, etc.)

Coach Carter

In class we started watching Coach Carter. What sort of philosophy does Coach Carter have for his team??? If we had to write one for him, what would be in it?? What kind of feedback does he give to his team? Why does he do this? Is one better than the other?
